Cold Will is an initiative of Tampere Region Economic Development Agency Business Tampere Oy. This Privacy Policy explains how personal data submitted through the Cold Will website is collected and processed.


What information do we collect?


When you submit a membership application or otherwise contact Cold Will through the website, we may collect personal data such as your name, email address, phone number, organisation, professional role and any other information you choose to provide.


Membership applications may also include information about the organisation, its capabilities, services, activities, certifications, partners, contact details, links, images and other material submitted for a potential member profile.

How do we use the information?

Personal data may be used to:
• process membership applications and contact applicants
• manage Cold Will membership and stakeholder relationships
• provide and develop Cold Will services and network activities
• communicate about Cold Will activities, events and opportunities
• send newsletters and event information where the recipient has agreed to receive them
• maintain and develop the Cold Will website and network


Depending on the purpose, the processing of personal data is based on consent, the performance of a contract or Business Tampere’s legitimate interest in managing stakeholder relationships, providing its services and communicating about its activities.

Member information and publication

Information about member organisations may be published on the Cold Will website as part of member profiles.

The information selected for publication will be agreed with the member organisation. Personal contact details will not be published without the consent of the person concerned.

Personal data may be shared between Cold Will network members only where the relevant individuals and organisations have agreed to such sharing.

Where is the information stored?

Information submitted through the Cold Will website is stored on the website.


The website is hosted by Seravo, and the server used by coldwill.fi is located in Finland. Website data stored through the hosting service is therefore not stored outside the EU/EEA.


Business Tampere may process information relevant to its customer, stakeholder and network relationships in accordance with its general privacy practices.

Who can access the information?

Access to personal data is limited to people who need it to manage Cold Will activities, membership applications, stakeholder relationships or the website.


This may include authorised Business Tampere personnel, website administrators and technical service providers responsible for hosting and maintaining the website.


Personal data is not disclosed for commercial purposes. It may be disclosed to other parties where this is necessary for providing the service, based on consent or another applicable legal basis.

How long do we keep the information?

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for managing the relevant membership, customer or stakeholder relationship.


Information related to membership applications may be retained while the application is being processed and for as long as it is reasonably needed for related follow-up. Member information may be retained for the duration of the membership or network relationship.


Newsletter and similar communications based on consent will be sent until the recipient withdraws their consent or the information is no longer needed for that purpose.

Cold Will does not use personal data submitted through membership applications for automated decision-making or profiling.
